Happy Wednesday to everyone! Easter-y Days are here again!
Let me tell you something about my ‘Easter-y’ days.
Yesterday morning I made my morning coffee, and headed towards my living room. Let me tell you something of a secret here. Our living room is the place where I do most of my writing. You will soon know why.
It feels like home inside home 🙂 It has one wall bright red and connecting wall as gray. There is a huge red and black designer couch. SO, what I did yesterday after making that coffee is that I folded the center seat of our 3 seater sofa which turns into a table after folding. I simply placed my coffee mug on that table, and sat beside.
While I was sitting comfortably sipping my giant mug of morning coffee, I could totally feel my true inner self. That was my WOW moment. You know the time when you just wake up, sip that coffee, look outside the window, and get lost in thoughts. Pure and awesome.
I could clearly see the snowfall and big snow flakes from the glass window of my living room. Yes, it’s April, and yes it’s Finland 😉
Alright, I started sipping my steaming hot coffee to enjoy some ‘me time’. It is nearly impossible to describe the feeling of comfort I had at that time. It was so so relaxing and refreshing.
Now just for a second, imagine yourself at a place with pin drop silence, where you are just alone. Not surrounded by the crowd. Mornings are the best times of the day to do introspection, and visualize your self-reflection. You can also do this while enjoying a cup of coffee. I do this quite often. 😀
As soon as I finished my coffee, I found myself fully rejuvenated. And suddenly, my passion of cooking was all over me, and it totally took over my comfort level of the couch WOW moment.
My unconscious thoughts reminded me; it’s almost Easter!
Ohh yes, how can I forget that! 🙂
So I started thinking about my next Easter recipe. I was already time pressed, because I wanted to share this recipe before Easter, so that many of you can savor that too!
I started scratching my head to get an idea of a quick and unique Easter egg recipe!
Thought deliberately, and only two things came to my mind. It should be something made with egg and chocolate. I was clear on these two ingredients at least.
I dragged myself out of the comfort zone and pushed myself towards the kitchen. Cluelessly I opened the door of my fridge. There I saw eggs, and immediately I took out egg carton.
I hunted for other ingredients which could be useful for the recipe. But couldn’t get anything. I shut the fridge door, and opened the nearby cupboard where I keep my chocolates (away from the prying eyes of Adoria 😉There I saw something just wonderful. It was a big bar of elegant milk chocolate. I took out that too!
OH! I just love chocolates, so it was a must for my Easter egg recipe.
Then I also saw Nutella, and I took that out too. I gave a look at all the ingredients I collected at my kitchen counter. And there a brilliant idea struck my head.
It was the quickest and yummiest thing my brain could think at that moment. It was too exhilarating for me.
I opened my fridge again and took out the natural yogurt and milk container. I also grabbed maple syrup, cinnamon powder and cardamom powder from another cupboard.
Any ideas what I was up to?
I was making ‘Chocolate Lassi Egg Cups’! Yeaaaaahhhh!
Sounds striking? Believe me the cups were just as striking as they sound, or I should say they were even more striking. Just envision an awesome combo of chocolate and yogurt!
Most of you must be aware of ‘Lassi’, but just a little info for those who don’t know about it.
Lassi is a yogurt smoothie; prepared with yogurt, water and sometimes with milk. Generally, it is a blend of yogurt and spices. You can make your own variations of sweet and savory Lassi.
These ‘Chocolate Lassi Egg Cups’ are so simple and easy to make.
Yes, you heard me right. I just made the EASIEST EASTER dessert for all of us.
It might also be classified as one of the easiest sweet recipes I have shared till date.
Isn’t it just AWESOME? I know it is.
It has very less ingredients. And the best thing is that you will find these ingredients lying in your pantry. Seriously, these ingredients are pretty basic that everyone can find them anytime. That is why this is the last minute fail-safe recipe.
It has eggshells, Nutella, your favorite chocolate, creamy yogurt, ground cardamom, ground cinnamon, maple syrup, and whole milk.
To celebrate Easter, I made these adorable little chocolate lassi egg cups.
These cups have a piquant blend of chocolate and yogurt. It means that you will get a spoonful of chocolate goodness with every spoon.
These tiny egg cups are topped with some whipped cream and cocoa powder. It’s a kind of chocolate egg, you see! 🙂
Super fun treat for Easter. And you can always play with the designs on eggshells. Like I simply drew rough lines symbolizing nest.
Remember this is the FUN part, so feel free to play with these cups. Give wings to your imaginations. Give wings to the little ones inside you 😉
Basically, it’s up to you— whatever you want to do would be the best. After all everything is all about feeling good at the end.
I would totally understand if you are feeling all Easter-y. Let it be. Easter comes only once a year! Give your taste buds some joy of chocolates!
This is for real, that Easter is finally here.
For making these chocolate lassi egg cups, you will only need a bowl, a spoon, and that’s it. No need to worry about cleaning dirty dishes.
Actually, I don’t need to worry about cleaning the mess after cooking.
Because I have an amazing husband and a cute little daughter who are always eager to help me in the kitchen! 😉

Making these egg cups are not messy, so no worries at all. It’s a very clean affair.
These cups contain all the magic themselves!
You fill one cup with chocolate lassi, and keep it aside to fill another one. And you shouldn’t be surprised, if you couldn’t find the egg cup you just filled. I told you, these are MAGICAL CUPS which can disappear in thin air.
Don’t panic! Just go to the safest hiding corner of your house, and you will see someone enjoying these cups in silence! 😛
These egg cups will always be the cutest cups to serve.

Take a bowl. Add melted chocolate and Nutella to it.
Mix well. Add yogurt, milk, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom.
Using a hand blender blend well until smooth and frothy.
Pour the lassi into eggshells. Keep the egg cups in refrigerator for 1 hour. Top with some whipped cream, and sprinkle with some cocoa powder. Enjoy!

- Empty egg shells, washed and dried - 6 (try to break eggs only quarter from top, so that you will get large cup to fill in)
- Whole milk - ⅛ cup
- Ground cinnamon - ¼ tsp
- Ground cardamom - ¼ tsp
- Nutella - 1 tbsp
- Milk chocolate, melted - 2 tbsp
- Creamy yogurt, chilled - ¾ cup
- Maple syrup - 2 tbsp cocoa powder for serving - 1 tsp
- Whipped cream for serving
- Take a bowl. Add melted chocolate and Nutella to it.
- Mix well. Add yogurt, milk, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom.
- Using a hand blender blend well until smooth and frothy.
- Pour the lassi into eggshells. Keep the egg cups in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Top with some whipped cream, and sprinkle with some cocoa powder. Enjoy!
