Introducing my classic drink: This rich and classic white hot chocolate is made with fresh strawberries blended with milk and cream. A super fast pink and delicious hot chocolate which can be made in 15 minutes from start to finish!
So how do you feel about drinks which are rich in antioxidants? Cool, isn’t it? Today’s hot chocolate recipe is one of such recipes.
April calls for hot chocolate: But hot chocolate in April? Who wants to drink hot chocolate in April? Well, I do. I know Hot chocolate is a winter thing. Let me tell you a little incident, and you will know why I need this in the month of April.
Circus party adventure: This Saturday Adoria had to go for a Circus themed birthday party. First she said, I want to be a clown and later when I started to paint her face, she said she doesn’t want to be a clown anymore.
I: “Brrrrr, what? You don’t want to be a clown? But you wanted be a clown so much. What shall I do now? How would you go to the party then?”
Then she said, “I want be a leopard, Mamma”.
I was seriously in no mood of having an argument with her, and anyways there is no point of arguing with a 3.5 year old. 😉 They will listen to you only if they want to. And at that moment Adoria sure was not in the mood of listening to anything, or anyone.
I : “But we don’t have a leopard costume. I will have to buy that and now that’s not an option at all, because we are so late for that.”
Adoria: “But you can make me a leopard now, because we have a leopard dress at home.”
I stated agitatedly : “No, we don’t.”
Adoria: “Yes, we have.”
Well, I certainly did not want to face any more temperaments, so I said: “Okay, show me if we have it.”
She ran to her room and came back after a couple of minutes with a leopard frock in her hand. She handed that to me and said, “There you go Mamma.”
I was so stunned at her imaginative skills. “Wow! How couldn’t I think about this option.” May be I was too busy looking for a solution, so that I couldn’t actually think out of the box. Sometimes kids do what we cannot do — the simple thinking.
So, finally I painted her nose and made whiskers. Tadaaa, and she was ready to growl. 😀
Cold weather demands something hot: I dropped her to the party and while coming back home, I realized that weather was really chilly and dark. Yes, the weather has been unseasonably cold here. And because of that chilly weather, I craved for something really hot at the time I was out.
The only thing I wanted was some hot chocolate after I reached back home. But at the same time I also wanted something which is bright and fruity. SO when I looked for the options, I luckily found some fresh strawberries lying in my fridge. Here we go now. And this pretty pink drink was ready in minutes, which was all I needed.
I just sat next to the glass window while sipping this pink masterpiece, and that was enough to make my day. 😀
So now you see why I needed this SO much.

This white hot chocolate begins with fresh strawberry blending. This is super simple to make, which makes this drink that much more enjoyable.
How I made it: Blend strawberries + milk + cream in a blender or a food processor until it is a smooth liquid. With a sieve, strain the strawberries to remove all seeds.
For the hot chocolate, heat strawberry mixture, stir in pure white chocolate and let it come to boil. I used fresh strawberries but you can use frozen strawberries too.
Add vanilla extract and boil for 2 minutes. Stir constantly to make sure the liquid does not burn. Sometimes, I also add some rose extract. Pour into glasses, top with whipped cream and sprinkles, and enjoy!
