The simple straight process: The process to make these is pretty simple. Slit a banana and stuff with nutella. Wrap in a foil and bake. Make a mixture with butter + cardamom + maple syrup.

Unwrap banana and take out the banana nutella mixture in a bowl. Slather on a bread slice and sandwich with another bread slice. Brush with cardamom maple mixture and broil or grill. Or simply just fry in a skillet. Dust with icing sugar. And that’s it.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

For baked banana:

• Banana - 1 large
• Nutella - 2-3 tbsp

For toasts:

• Bread slices - 4
• Cardamom powder - 2 tsp
• Maple syrup - 1-2 tbsp
• Butter - 2 tbsp

For serving:

• Whipped cream
• Chocolate sauce
• Sliced almonds
• Marshmallows
• Icing sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

For Baked Banana:

  1. Slit the banana lengthwise, but don’t cut completely through it!
  2. Stuff the banana with the nutella and wrap in tin foil.
  3. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes.
  4. Unwrap the foil and take out the banana nutella mixture into a bowl and mix well.

For Cardamom Maple Mixture:

  1. Heat butter in a pan. Add cardamom powder and maple syrup.
  2. Stir well and let it come to boil. Remove from heat and set aside.

For Toasts:

  1. Slather the mixture on two bread slices and sandwich with other two slices.
  2. Brush both sides of sandwiches with the prepared cardamom maple mixture.
  3. Broil them at 200°C for 2 minutes or simply grill them.

For Serving:

  1. Cut sandwiches into desired shapes and dust them with icing sugar.
  2. Top with whipped cream and drizzled chocolate sauce.
  3. Top with almond slices and marshmallows.
  4. Enjoy with a glass of milk or coffee.
