Ingredients

  1. Rose Syrup: I have used homemade rose syrup for this iced latte. You can also use store-bought rose syrup or rose concentrate.

  2. Coffee: I used instant coffee powder to make the base for the latte. To make a rose latte with espresso, you can use freshly brewed double shots of espresso.

  3. Milk: I used whole milk in this recipe. You can use any of your favorite milk. Vegan, dairy, full fat, semi-skimmed, or fat-free all types of milk work here.

  4. Ice cubes: A handful of ice cubes are needed to make 1 glass of iced rose latte.

  • Step 2 – Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour prepared coffee or espresso.

Substitutes & Variations

  • Ice Cream – To make this latte rich and creamy, you can swap ice with 2-3 dollops of rose ice cream

  • Milk – I used whole milk for this iced rose latte recipe. Other milks that taste in this latte are whole milk, semi-skimmed, or fat-free milk. For vegan versions, you can use coconut milk, soy milk, almond milk, cashew milk, or oat milk.

  • Rose petals – You can also add crushed dried rose petals to the drink.

How to make Rose Syrup?

Making rose syrup at home is very easy. Add water and sugar to a pan and cook until sugar is dissolved. After that, add fresh and dried rose petals and cook covered for 10 minutes on low heat. Add lemon juice and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Then add rose and kewra essence and cook for 2 more minutes or until the syrup gets a sticky consistency. If you want exact measurements and instructions, then you can check the homemade rose syrup recipe I have previously shared on this website.

Rose Latte Benefits

There are lots of health benefits of consuming rose petals or rose-flavored desserts and drinks. Rose latte has rose syrup made from rose petals and thus, it has anti-inflammatory properties and helps to aid digestion as well. It is also loaded with antioxidants.

Tips, and tricks to make the best Iced Rose Latte

  1. If you want intense floral flavor and aroma, then you can also add a splash of rose water or a few drops of rose extract to this rose milk coffee.

  2. I have added milk without frothing. However, if you want the creamy foam in your latte then I would recommend frothing the milk before pouring it over the coffee.

  3. You don’t need any additional sugar or simple syrup after adding rose syrup. However, if you prefer a sweeter rose coffee, then you can increase the amount of rose syrup or add sugar as per your taste.

  4. Don’t have a milk frother? Don’t worry, the other way of making this latte is very simple. Add all the ingredients (except ice cubes) to a shaker or coffee flask and shake. Then pour this latte over ice cubes.

  5. If you want creamy coffee then you can replace half of the milk with coffee creamer.
