A Valentine’s Day treat is never complete until some pink/red tinch is added to the food. Agree? And just tell me one thing; can you resist some delicious puffs filled with raspberry creme fraiche? Mmmmm, I think no one could. Well, I certainly cannot.
Valentine’s Day is here and I believe every Valentine’s Day should come with something new. So this time I am sharing some puffs, which are out of the league.
Why they are out of the league? Well, I have to tell you a little secret here; I used a secret ingredient in these puffs. And that secret ingredient can surely make up anyone’s mind. Can you guess what it could be?
Okay! Let me reveal the secret ingredient here. So are you guys prepared to be amazed? Well, it’s chocolate chip cookies. Yes, yes! There is no typo, you read it right — I added chocolate chip cookies to the raspberry cream.
Now you can surely imagine the flavour profile of these puffs which are bursting with the super special flavor and texture of this secret ingredient. You would taste so many perfect chunks of chocolate cookies in each bite.
Remember I wrote in my earlier post about Snickers Mini Chocolate Tarts; that there will be so many chocolate recipes for Valentine’s Day? So you guys knew that something like this had to be coming, huh? 🙂
I just really needed some chocolate to call them a perfect Valentine’s Day treat. So it has to be something like ‘Raspberry Crème Fraîche & Cookies Puffs’, and that’s why I had to add some chocolate in these puffs. 🙂
On an other note, can I just tell you the sweetest thing that my little one did the other day? This Saturday I spent many hours with her, like Mommy Daughter time. We went to sauna, did some shopping (well, my little one chose everything for me and her, so she did the shopping and and I paid the bills 😉 ), then ice-skating, then groceries, and later we ate at her favorite restaurant. Made these puffs and chocolate souffles, watched a Dinosaur movie with her and I read some stories to her. And did almost everything she could dream of.
I must say Mommy and daughter are the best companions. It was a fun time for both of us. Even though she is little, but we can still have such a fun time.
The next day she kept repeating about all the activities we did together. “I love you Mamma. I love you thiiiis much Mamma. Thank you Mamma, you bought new dresses for me, thank you Mamma you made puffs for me, thank you mamma you read story for me”.
And her ‘thank you’s’ were endless. :-)
Awwwww, how cute is that. She is not that young at all. Her thank you’s melted away my heart completely. It’s not like that I want to hear thank you from her, but it’s because her thank you’s made me realize something very big.
How little things can make a big difference in someone’s life, and specially if that someone is a little kid. They don’t demand for very big things. They are already on cloud 9 when you say, “we are going out”. Their world is so small, and so do their demands. Oh!
How precious is the childhood — you are happy when you get something favorite to eat.
Let’s talk some more about these puffs. These gorgeous little Raspberry Creme Puffs are easy to make and are a perfect treat to make for Valentine’s Day.
I mean look at these gorgeous beauties. Don’t they look super cute? So pretty, so pink, so Valentineish.
Lastly, I have to say that I made these with the Valentine’s Day in mind, but they are equally perfect for any weekend brunch!!
