I promised to share 3 peach recipes this week with you in my last post of Peach Pesto Tart . So here I am with this pizza which is the second peach recipe in the row. I am sure you would love this recipe as much as you loved the first recipe with peach.

If there was an ultimate summer pizza, I would have to say this ‘Whole-wheat Peach Mushroom Pizza with Feta and Fresh Basil’ would be it without a doubt.

Can you tell that I am unbelievably excited about this peach pizza? Yes, I am super thrilled.

By now you all know that I get inspired to create fresh and colorful recipes with the handy ingredients I have at home. And in that sense, this pizza certainly is a bonus. I mean all things handy and colorful. What could be better than that! 🙂

This pizza is the perfect combination of fresh fruit-veggies, colors and textures! You wouldn’t believe how amazingly delish this pizza is! So fruity and so nummy. During the whole summer this mouth-watering pizza was in my menu on a weekly basis.

And I am sharing this at the end of summer. I know it’s better late then never. I am sharing this recipe now just before the summer ends. This is because I want you all to enjoy this summery fruity pizza while there is still some warm weather left.

With this whole-wheat pizza, you can ditch the regular dough and give pizza a makeover by making a whole-wheat crust. Mmmm, the sweetness of the juicy peach, the richness of the cheese, with ‘bright and tart’ accents of basil and balsamic glaze.

I think all weekdays call for a crusty pizza. And this peach pizza is as delicious as it looks.

Just imagine a soft and crisp pizza crust layered with pizza sauce. Then covered with 2 cheese ‘mozzarella and feta’, and they all perfectly compliment peaches on top. Top with fresh peach slices, mushroom, bell pepper, olives, chili pepper, onion and two types of cheese.

A drizzle of your favorite sauce to create a perfect balance to the sweet summer fruit. I drizzled mine with honey balsamic glaze which was pretty awesome.

This pizza tastes amazing on its own, but added balsamic glaze just takes it up a notch. Seriously, this spicy balsamic drizzle has not only got a kick but this is a killer too. So amazing when paired with this peach mushroom pizza!

Plenty of peaches, mushroom, onion, bell pepper slices, olives, and a whole lot of cheese. Mmmm, they are all just so awesome together.

Then bake it in a hot oven to golden perfection, which will give you that crave-worthy delicious melted cheese, sweet & tender roasted peaches, meaty mushrooms, and spicy peppers.

And now, finish it off with a generous amount of fresh basil leaves. And, this is it. This is such an amazing stuff.

In a bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water. Add yeast to it, and let it stand for about 10 minutes, until foamy.

Stir the olive oil and salt into the yeast mixture, then mix in the whole wheat flour and 1 cup of

the all-purpose flour until dough starts to come together. Tip dough out onto a surface floured with

the remaining all-purpose flour, and knead until all of the flour has been absorbed, and the ball of

dough becomes smooth, about 10 minutes. Place the dough in an oiled bowl. Cover the bowl with a towel, and let stand in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

When the dough is doubled, tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. If you want thin crust divide the dough ball into 2 pieces, and leave whole to make one thick crust. Form into a tight ball. Let it keep in refrigerator for about 2-4 hours.

Preheat the oven to 425°F /220°C. Roll a ball of dough with a rolling pin until you have a flattened disk.

Place the pizza on a greased baking sheet and then use your hands to gently tug, pull and push the pizza dough into your desired shape. Spread the sauce over pizza. Now add the ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese and crumbled feta.

Now top with sliced peaches, sliced onions, sliced mushrooms, olives and some chili pepper. Sprinkle rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.

Sprinkle garlic powder and pepper powder. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes (depending on thickness) or until the cheese is golden at the edges, and cheese is melted and gooey. Remove and allow to cool 5 minutes. Sprinkle some fresh basils and dried oregano and slice.

Serve with the honey balsamic drizzle. Enjoy!
