RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» Make the Mango Purée

  1. Slice the mangoes along both sides of the pit. Score the flesh in a crisscross pattern, then scoop it out with a spoon.
  2. Add the mango chunks to a high-speed blender along with the lime juice, maple syrup, chili powder, and sea salt. Blend until completely smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the sweetness, lime juice, or chili powder if needed.

» Make Chili Lime Seasoning

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, sea salt, and fresh lime zest until well combined.

» Decorate the Glasses

  1. Rub one side of each serving glass with a lime wedge, then dip that section into the chili-lime seasoning.

» Assemble Mango Chili Lime Spritz

  1. Fill each glass generously with ice cubes. Top each glass with chili lime seasoning coated mango wedges, and lime slices. Divide the mango purée evenly among the 3 glasses.
  2. Top with chilled sparkling water, garnish with fresh basil, then gently stir. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

» Tropical Mango Chili Lime Spritz

  1. Fill each glass generously with ice cubes. Add chili lime seasoning coated mango wedges, and lime slices to each serving glass. Top with chili mango lime purée. Replace about ½ of the sparkling water in each glass with chilled pineapple juice. Top with the remaining sparkling water, gently stir, and garnish as desired. Serve immediately.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. Use sweet, ripe mangoes for the best flavor, and adjust the maple syrup to suit their natural sweetness.
  2. Add the sparkling water just before serving to keep the drink bubbly and refreshing.
  3. The chili-lime coating is optional but highly recommended for extra flavor and a beautiful presentation.
