RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» How To Make Instant Pot Matar Paneer:

  1. Turn the Instant pot on with saute mode. Once hot, add oil to the inner pot of your instant pot.
  2. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves and sauté for few seconds or till you get a nice aroma of the spices.
  3. Add the chopped onions and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add crushed ginger-garlic and sauté 1 more minute.
  5. Now add green chilies and tomato puree.
  6. Mix well and cook for 3 minutes.
  7. Now add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, Kasuri methi and saute for few seconds.
  8. Add yogurt and mix well.
  9. Next, add the desired amount of water.
  10. Add green peas, paneer and mix everything well to combine.
  11. Cover the instant pot with the lid, set the valve to sealing position. Cook on manual (high pressure) for 5 minutes.
  12. QPR (quick pressure release) for 8 minutes. Once the pin drops, open the lid.
  13. Now add coriander leaves, garam masala powder, fresh cream and mix everything well.
  14. Press sauté mode and cook for 2 minutes.
  15. Transfer into a serving dish.
  16. Garnish with cream, coriander leaves. Serve instant pot matar paneer with naan or rice.

» How To Make Stove Top Pressure Cooker Matar Paneer:

  1. Heat oil in your pressure cooker.
  2. Once hot, add oil to the inner pot of your instant pot.

  13. Let the pressure go off completely, before opening the lid.
  14. Now add coriander leaves, garam masala powder, fresh cream and mix everything well.
  15. Press sauté mode and cook for 2 minutes.
  16. Transfer into a serving dish.
  17. Garnish with cream, coriander leaves.
  18. Serve instant pot matar paneer with naan or matar pulao.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. Replace paneer with tofu for making a vegan version of matar paneer aka (Tofu Matar).
  2. You can replace cream with cashew cream.
