» Roasting Cumin Seeds:

  1. In a wide pan add the cumin seeds and roast them at medium heat till they are golden and aromatic. It would take about 2 minutes. Do not over roast the jeera seeds, or they might taste bitter.
  2. Remove roasted cumin seeds from heat and transfer to a plate. Let them cool completely.

» Pounding Method 1:

  1. Transfer roasted cumin seeds into a grinder.
  2. Grind to make a fine powder.
  3. Transfer it to a spice jar to store.
