RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» How To Make Apple Bagel

  1. Core apple, and slice it into 1/4 inch thick slices. Set them aside.
  2. Slice vanilla bagel in half and keep them aside. Tip: You can also toast them slightly.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter or margarine.
  4. Add maple syrup, cinnamon, and mix well.
  5. Next, add the sliced apples and cook them for about 2 minutes on both sides, or until the apples are slightly softened and caramelized.
  6. The cooking allows the apples to caramelize gently and the flavors to meld together beautifully. Once done, remove it from the heat.
  7. Place the vanilla bagel halves on a plate. Top the bagels with the syrup from the cooked apples.
  8. Then spoon the warm, cinnamon-infused apple slices over each bagel half.
  9. Sprinkle it with toasted chopped walnuts.
  10. Drizzle with caramel sauce. Your delicious cinnamon-infused Apple Bagels are ready to be served.
  11. Enjoy them as a delicious breakfast, light dessert, or a filling snack, with a cup of coffee or tea.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. Any sweet varieties of fresh apples can be used for making this dessert. But you can also use tart apples like Granny Smith for a different taste.
  2. I have used cinnamon here, you can also use other warming sweet spices like a pinch of ground nutmeg, cinnamon, or even allspice for a different spicy variation.
