RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» For making Strawberry Chaat

  1. Remove the hulls and green tops from the strawberries and quarter or dice them. Also, chop the coriander leaves. Keep them aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries, coriander leaves, black salt, regular salt, red chili powder, chaat masala powder, roasted cumin powder, honey, and fresh lemon juice. Mix well to combine. Keep it aside for 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  3. Serve the strawberry chaat in a bowl or on a plate, garnished with sev, coriander leaves, boondi, or any other toppings of your choice.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. I used boondi and thin sev as toppings. But you can also use other toppings such as masala kaju, masala peanuts, roasted peanuts, or even aloo bhujia. Other fruits and veggies can also be added here.
  2. Feel free to adjust the spice level according to your preference. If you like mildly spicy chaat, then use less amount of chili powder. If you prefer hotter chaat, then you can also add some freshly chopped green chilies to this recipe.
