RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» How to Make Malai Kofta Balls

  1. Take a mixing bowl. Add grated potatoes, grated paneer, salt, pepper powder, chopped green chili, and bread crumbs.
  2. Mix well to make the dough, and make ping pong size balls.
  3. Flatten with the palm, and add 1 roasted cashew and raisins.
  4. Bring together all side in the center and form into a ball again.
  5. Flatten to make a cylinder shape, and roll it on all purpose flour.
  6. Repeat the same process with rest of the dough.
  7. Heat oil in a pan, and deep fry all balls till they turn golden brown.

» Method For Gravy: //

  1. Heat a pan, and add butter and oil to it. Now add cumin seeds, asafetida and saute till they splutter.
  2. Add onion puree, and cook for about 5 minutes. Now add ginger-garlic paste to it. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Now add cashew paste to it. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add tomato puree, and saute it covered for 5 -7 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Now add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mix them thoroughly.
  6. Cook for another 5 minutes. Add fresh cream and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add chopped green chilies.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add some water if needed and cook for few more minutes. Your gravy is ready now.
  8. Add Kofta balls to the gravy, only when you are ready to serve.
  9. Dhaba style Malai Kofta is ready to enjoy. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with your favorite bread.
