RECIPE INGREDIENTS
» For Guacamole
- 3 medium ripe avocados
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-2 jalapeños
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
» How to Make Guacamole
- Chop the onion, tomato, jalapeños, and cilantro. Set them aside.
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, make cuts in the flesh, and scoop it out into a bowl.
- Add the chopped onion, tomato, and jalapeños to the bowl. Then, add the minced garlic and squeeze in the lime juice.
- Use a fork, pestle, or potato masher to mash the ingredients to your preferred consistency-either chunky or smooth. Add the chopped cilantro and salt to taste, then muddle again.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped tomatoes, and cilantro. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a side to your favorite Mexican dishes.
RECIPE NOTES
- To keep the guacamole from browning, place a pit back into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap directly touching the surface.
- You can add diced mango or kiwis for a fruity twist.
