  1. Chop the onion, tomato, jalapeños, and cilantro. Set them aside.
  2. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, make cuts in the flesh, and scoop it out into a bowl.
  3. Add the chopped onion, tomato, and jalapeños to the bowl. Then, add the minced garlic and squeeze in the lime juice.
  4. Use a fork, pestle, or potato masher to mash the ingredients to your preferred consistency-either chunky or smooth. Add the chopped cilantro and salt to taste, then muddle again.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped tomatoes, and cilantro. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a side to your favorite Mexican dishes.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. To keep the guacamole from browning, place a pit back into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap directly touching the surface.
  2. You can add diced mango or kiwis for a fruity twist.
