RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» Making Dal Chawal Paratha Dough:

  1. Add wheat flour, chawal, dal, 2 teaspoons oil, salt, asafetida, cumin seeds, grated ginger, green chili, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix well. Knead into a soft dough, using enough water. Cover with a cling film and keep aside it for 30 minutes.

» Cooking Dal Chawal Paratha Dough:

  1. Divide the dough into 8 balls. Roll each ball to make a circle into 4 to 5 inch in diameter.
  2. Heat a pan and roast dough circle from one side and flip over to another side.
  3. Brush oil on both sides, and roast for few seconds again.
  4. Serve hot with any pickle, ketchup, or boondi raita. Enjoy!

RECIPE NOTES

  1. I have used leftover dal and rice for this recipe, but you can also use freshly cooked and cooked dal and chawal.
