RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» Make Chocolate covered strawberries

  1. Place the strawberries on a freezer-safe plate and chill for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the milk chocolate and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a heat-proof bowl using a double boiler or microwave until smooth. Set it aside to cool.
  3. Next, melt the white chocolate and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a heat-proof bowl using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  4. Insert a skewer into each strawberry and dip it into the melted milk chocolate, shaking off excess chocolate.
  5. Swirl the skewer and drizzle with the melted white chocolate to create variation.
  6. Alternatively, dip some strawberries in white chocolate first and then in milk chocolate. You can also roll the chocolate-coated strawberries in your favorite sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the dipped strawberries onto the prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate the chocolate-coated strawberries for 30 minutes or until firm.
  8. Your customizable chocolate-covered strawberries with various chocolate coatings and colorful sprinkles are ready. Enjoy them chilled, or place them in a single layer on a plate lined with wax paper or baking paper to absorb any excess moisture. Store them for 3-4 days in the refrigerator or until serving. If you plan to serve the chocolate-covered strawberries at room temperature, remove them from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving to allow them to come to room temperature gradually. This will help preserve the texture of the chocolate.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. Use ripe yet firm strawberries without bruises for the best texture and taste. Organic farm-picked ones are the best.
  2. Make sure the strawberries are completely dried and chilled before dipping. If they are not completely dry, the chocolate won't stick properly.
