RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

» How to Make Caprese Croissant Sandwich

  1. Slice tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese and keep them aside.
  2. Place a croissant on a wooden board and slice it in half, lengthwise. Similarly, slice the remaining croissants. Working with one sandwich at a time, spread the butter on both sides of the croissant. Arrange lettuce leaves on the bottom half of a croissant.
  3. Top with tomato slices, mozzarella slices, and basil leaves. Sprinkle with black pepper powder (and salt, if using), and dried oregano. Drizzle generously with sweet chili sauce. Top with the second half of the croissant. Make all the croissant sandwiches and serve them immediately.

RECIPE NOTES

  1. Just don't use the freshest (straight from the oven) croissants as they are super soft and it would be a bit tricky to slice them. Let the croissants cool at room temperature before slicing, or to be safe use day-old croissants, they would work just fine.
  2. Fresh ingredients - Use fresh tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella cheese for the best taste experience.
  3. If you are baking croissants at home, then try baking them a day before. This way you?ll get the perfect sandwiches.
